Mohammed Salah commits to Liverpool until 2027
Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has ended months of speculation over his future by signing a new two-year contract extension with the Premier League leaders, keeping him at Anfield until the summer of 2027.
The 32-year-old Egyptian talisman put pen to paper on Friday, reaffirming his commitment to the club where he has etched his name into the annals of football history.
Since arriving from AS Roma in 2017, Salah has scored 243 goals in 394 appearances, making him Liverpool’s third all-time top scorer, behind only Ian Rush and Roger Hunt.
Salah’s impact on Merseyside has been immense, having played a pivotal role in Liverpool’s Champions League triumph in 2019 and their first Premier League title in 30 years in 2020.
Now, under incoming manager Arne Slot, Salah is leading the charge for what could be Liverpool’s 20th English top-flight title, which would see them tie Manchester United at the summit.

With 27 goals and 17 assists in the Premier League this season, Salah has been the driving force behind Liverpool’s resurgence, helping the Reds open up an 11-point lead with just seven games remaining.
Speaking after the contract announcement, Salah expressed his enthusiasm for the club’s direction and his desire to win more trophies.
“Of course I’m very excited. We have a great team now. Before also we had a great team. But I signed because I think we have a chance to win other trophies,” Salah said in a club statement.
“It’s great, I had my best years here. I played for eight years, hopefully it’s going to be 10. Enjoying my life here, enjoying my football. I had the best years in my career.”
The new deal is seen as a major boost for Liverpool heading into a new era under Slot, who will take over from Jürgen Klopp at the end of the season. With Salah staying on, the Reds retain one of the most prolific and consistent forwards in world football — a player who continues to break records while inspiring teammates with his elite mentality and match-winning capabilities.
As Liverpool push toward a historic campaign finish, Salah’s extension signals continuity, ambition, and belief in the project ahead — one that could add more chapters to the story of a modern club legend.
