Obi opens up on deal with Wike, Ortom, Ikpeazu, others
The 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, on a visit to Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State in Makurdi, opened up on the ‘deal’ he is having with Governor Ortom, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, and other protesting Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors.
Obi in Makurdi declared: “The only deal I have with them is that they are passionate about Nigeria.”
Obi had commended Ortom for tackling insecurity crisis in Benue State even at personal risk and discomfort.
Obi had made repeated visits to Governor Wike in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The angry PDP governors and other allies are demanding the resignation of the PDP national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, and appointment of a southern national chairman.
