Pandora Papers: El-Rufai under fire for mocking Peter Obi
Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state has come under serious fire from Nigerians over a tweet mocking Peter Obi over his alleged involvement in the leaked Pandora Papers.
In the tweet, El-Rufai said “The only difference between the saint and the sinner is that every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future.” – Oscar Wilde.
Reacting, a lot of Nigerians came hard on the diminutive politician, calling him an illiterate who doesn’t understand the actual meaning of a Trust.
Another twitter user by the name of Dr_chazduke said “Dirty politicians trying so hard to make incorruptible Obi look like them. You can petition the EFCC and ICPC.

Uche @nnabros tweets, “Na wa o … APC don join PDP to attack. Leave Obi as the race is between PDP and APC as you all have all states in the bag. We are just 4 people in a room trying to convince a handful of people to waste their votes.
@FBlanks1 in his own comment said “Panic mode activated! Sorry El-Rufai Kaduna is OBidient
“Of all the ‘crimes’ available to commit, opening a shell company in a tax haven is the worst crime a former Governor could commit and it wasn’t even with stolen funds! His kids and wife didn’t consult, never got any contracts in the state.
Would the same be said of you after May 29th?
“Let’s educate small mallam. Pandora Papers showed how wealthy individuals choose offshore structures and secrecy to avoid paying taxes. This is different from Tax evasion. Tax evasion means concealing income. Offshore entities are used to AVOID tax. Morally wrong but not Illegal.
