Presidency 2023: Sanusi knocks Tinubu
The deposed Emir of Kano State, Lamido Muhammad II, on Saturday gave the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, a shocking knock, in a way of resisting probable appeal for support.

The former Emir of Kano who was the keynote speaker, at the seventh edition of KadInvest, an annual event organised by the Kaduna State Investment Promotion Agency in Kaduna State, North-West Nigeria, speaking on: ‘Improving subnational resilience against global economic shocks’, declared that he has no particular party, stating unequivocally that his party is Nigeria. he gave a hard knock on the government of the All Progressives Congress (APC), telling the audience that he lost his appointment as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for criticizing the government then. He decried that the same problems for which he criticized the government are existing in the current government of the APC.
Affirming that he has no party, the forme4r Emir asserted that “Asiwaju knows that his party is Nigeria.
According to Lamido Sanusi, “I keep repeating, hope you remember that I lost my job at the central bank for this same problem. It is not about a particular party. I have no party. My party is Nigeria. This is the problem we had in 2014. Asiwaju knows my party is Nigeria.”
President Muhammadu Buhari was represented at the event by Maryam Katagum, Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment.
The APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, was in attendance, including the host, Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State.
