Rage of fury, protesters defy Army warnings, storm Zamfara Govt House waving Russian flag
The rage of fury heralding the hardship protest in Nigeria has continued to garner momentum in the North in spite warnings and threats from the Nigerian Army, protesters invaded the Government House, Zamfara, on Wednesday waving Russian flags.
The protesters, insisting that there is no going back on the hardship protest, defied warnings from the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa, over waving of Russian flag, threatening that it is treason to wave Russian flag in Nigerian territory.
Protesters in Zamfara on Day 7 of the #EndBackGovernanceProtest, storms the Zamfara State Government House, Gusau, waving Russian and singing solidarity songs.
President Bola Tinubu had summoned emergency security meeting on Monday at the State House, Abuja, where he ordered the military to crack down of protesters waving Russian flag.
The Chief of Defence Staff, Gneral Chris Musa, thereafter, issued strong warnings, threatening that waving Russian flag is treason.
Arrests were made in Kano and Kaduna states of protesters waving Russian flag. However, the arrest did not deter the angry youths in the North.
