Sanga LG donates 4 vehicles to district heads to bolster peace, security
Sanga Local Government of Kaduna state on Tuesday donated a Toyota Camry saloon car to each of the four District Heads in the area.
Presenting the car keys to the visibly elated monarchs, Alhaji Nasiru Harande, the council’s overseer, said the gesture was in recognition of their immense contributions to the sustenance of peace in the area.
Harande said: ” the role of the traditional institution in sensitizing the people on government’s policies and programmes cannot be over-emphasized, hence the need to support them.”
He implored the district heads to put the vehicles to good use in the overall interest of the people.
Responding on behalf of the traditional rulers, Alhaji Bashir Mohammed, the district head of Gwantu, thanked the council for the gesture, saying, ” the invaluable gesture would go a long way in easing our activities.”
The National Daily reports that the beneficiaries were: The district heads of Gwantu, Fadan Karshi, Fadan Ninzo and Mayir.
