Still on the Churchill, Tonto saga
If there’s ever going to be an award for the longest post-marriage-divorce trade of words, it will unanimously go to the Churchill-Tonto union. The estranged but not silent couple is still fuelling their angst as it relates with the bitterness both parties experienced as a result of their marital clash. Actress Tonto Dikeh and her estranged husband Olakunke Churchill are in the news again. When the Mother-of-one was asked if she was still in contact with her estranged husband and whether he was allowed to play a major role in the life of their son King, Tonto blurted out that they (Tonto and Churchill) recently ended a child custody case in court which she did not make known to the public.
Tonto says, “If you want to talk about me and my ex-husband that’s different but I will not even glorify that because he’s eating off my energy and my stardom and I don’t want that anymore. I don’t even think I was ever married because he was married to someone else while I was married to him,”
“Recently, we just ended a court case which I did not publicize because I respect my son so much, anything that concerns my son I try as much as possible to keep it on the wraps. We just finished a custody battle case and a child support case.
Reacting to the news, Olakunle Churchill took to Instagram to share a photo with the inscription; “You can’t change what has already happened, so don’t waste your time thinking about it. Move On, let go, and get over it.”
He also added the caption; “One bad chapter doesn’t mean your story is over.”
