Stuani confirms January approach from Barcelona
Barcelona were interested in signing Girona’s Cristhian Stuani in January, the striker himself has confirmed.
“Yes, there was interest from Barcelona,” Stuani stated. “I’m proud that a team as great as Barcelona thought about me.”
“But I’m also happy about signing a new deal with Girona.”
The 32-year old Uruguay international has set La Liga on fire in the past two campaigns, scoring 21 goals last season for Girona as they finished 10th in their first campaign in the Spanish top flight. He has scored 13 goals so far this season.
