Tinubu swears in INEC commissioners, CCB members ahead of FEC meeting
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monday swore in newly appointed Commissioners of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and members of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) at a brief ceremony held at the State House, Abuja, ahead of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.
Those inaugurated as INEC National Commissioners include Mallam Tukur Abdulrazaq Yusuf, representing the North West, and Professor Sunday Nwambam Aja from Ebonyi State, representing the South East.
President Tinubu also administered the oath of office to two new members of the Code of Conduct Bureau board: Ikpeme Kenneth Ndem from Cross River State and retired Justice Buba Ibrahim Nyaure from Taraba State.

The swearing-in ceremony preceded the sixth FEC meeting of the year, which President Tinubu is currently presiding over.
Among the key officials in attendance at today’s meeting are the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume; Chief of Staff to the President, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila; National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu; Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun; Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu; and Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris.
At the last FEC meeting on May 5, the Council approved the ‘Nigeria First’ Economic Policy, which mandates the prioritization of locally produced goods and services in all federal government procurement processes.
