Tinubu’s Muslim-Muslim ticket: CAC President urges Christians not to vote outside their interest
The President of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Worldwide, Pastor Samuel Oladele, at the 2022 Pastors Conference of the CAC at Ayo Babalola Memorial International Miracle Camp, Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State, on Wednesday, declared that Christians cannot vote outside their interest. He, therefore, urged Christians to vote for candidates that will protect their interests during the 2023 general elections.
The CAC President covertly disapproved the Muslim-Muslim joint ticket the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, imposes on Nigerians with his choice of Kashim Shettima as his running mate for the 2023 presidential election.
Oladele at the conference with the theme: – Growing in the Grace and Knowledge of the Lor – declared: “the forthcoming general elections is the one that we must be interested in, as we cannot afford to remain complacent while decisions that affect our faith are being made.
“We shall be guided by the criteria provided by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) for election of our next set of political leaders in Nigeria.
“I make bold to declare loud and clear that the interest of the kingdom of God and of His Christ is more important than all other interests.”
He told Christians to allow the interest of God’s kingdom to guide their consideration of who to vote for in the forthcoming general elections.
Decrying the level of insecurity in the country, Oladele encouraged Nigerians not to despair but to be more prayerful and also to walk on the way of righteousness. He asserted that there is hope for the nation, declaring: “for God rules the affairs of men.”
