The presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Engr. Rabiu Kwankwaso, visiting Zamfara State for an assessment of the situation and the inauguration of the NNPP campaign offices, promised that he will prioritise education and youth employment in his agenda to rebuild Nigeria, if elected as president. The NNPP presidential candidate stated that he would mop up huge number of out-of-school-children by providing education infrastructures, recruitment and training of teachers to boost the standards and quality of education in the country.

Kwankwaso promised that his administration will repeat what he did when he was Governor of Kano State, when he offered scholarship and sponsored children of the poor to study in higher institutions overseas, including some in private and Federal Universities in Nigeria; to empower the poor to contribute to the country’s nation building.

He said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) cannot rescue Nigeria from the prevailing challenges which include insecurity, economy, unemployment and others.
