Wike in solidarity appearance in court during Jang’s trial in Jos
Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State made a dramatic appearance in court in Jos, Plateau State, during the trial of former Governor Jonah Jang who is standing trial on allegations of N6.3 billion impropriety. Former Governor Jang is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at the Plateau State High Court, Jos, on allegation of N6.3 billion fraud.
Governor Wike in a media interaction after the Court sitting, emphasized that he made appearance at the court during the court sitting to demonstrate his solidarity with former Governor Jang; in addition to his mission to unite the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State. The governor decried that Nigeria is bleeding under the government of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He urged Nigerians to vote out APC in 2023.
Governor Wike extended his visit to other PDP stakeholders in Plateau State, with whom he held consultative meetings.
