23-yr-old robbery gang leader, member arrested after bank robbery
The Amotekun Corps has arrested a gang of armed robbers in Okuku, Odo-Otin Local Government Area of Osun .
The suspects were arrested Tuesday while they attempted to rob in the town.
Kehinde Babalola, 23, led the gang, and 19-year-old Timileyin Afolabi was the lone partner in crime caught for now.
Babalola, a native of Ogbomoso, confessed that he led the gang of armed robbers who attacked the Wema Bank, Okuku Branch.
He also carried out operations in Ibadan and Ile-Ife, terrorising students of the Osun State University, Okuku Campus.
Timileyin Afolabi, who hails from Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, also confessed to armed robbery he carried out with other gangsters now on the run.
The suspects have been handed over to the DSS for further investigation.
