3 Free agents Chelsea should sign next season
Chelsea transfer chief Marina Granovskaia has been quiet since the European transfer window closed a few weeks ago. It should be said that she signed three football players during the summer transfer window. The likes of Romelu Lukaku and Saul Niguez moved to Stamford Bridge during the summer. However, she was not able to make more signings. This could be because of financial constraints. Consequently, Chelsea should look at the possibility of signing some free agents next year. Below are three free agents that Marina Granovskaia should sign in 2022.
1. Paul Pogba
The French midfielder currently plays for Manchester United in the English Premier League. However, his contract at Old Trafford is set to expire by next year. This means that he could leave Manchester United as a free agent. Thomas Tuchel should do whatever it takes to sign Paul Pogba next year. The former Juventus star would complement the likes of N’Golo Kante and Jorginho.
2. Kylian Mbappe
The former Monaco attacker has been in sensational form since he secured a transfer to PSG. However, he has refused to sign a new contract with the French club. This means that his contract will expire by next summer. Chelsea should move to sign Mbappe from PSG on a free transfer.
3. Jesse Lingard
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recalled Jesse Lingard after the end of his loan move to West Ham United. However, the Norwegian tactician has refused to start Jesse Lingard in any Premier League match this season. He should be aware of the fact that Jesse Lingard’s contract at Old Trafford will expire next year. This means that Thomas Tuchel should make a move to sign Lingard on a free transfer. The English international would bring a lot of experience to the Chelsea team.
