Rio Ferdinand reveals why Thomas Tuchel has transformed Chelsea to a stingy side
Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand has praised Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel for transforming the club to a stingy side that don’t concede goals. The 42-year-old revealed that Chelsea are the team to beat not only in the Premier League but in Europe as well.
According to him, the Chelsea team play like a machine. “Chelsea are a concern if you are playing to win the league”, he said.
“One of the biggest factors they are stingy, they don’t concede goals now. They’ve got the best clean sheet since Thomas Tuchel took over in the whole league, they’ve got best defensive record in terms of goals conceded.
“He is making them a machine, they look like a team that can play ugly, they could be abysmal on the day then Lukaku will come up with two goals.
“You talk about Kane, Lewandoski, Ronaldo, Benzema, Lukaku is dancing in that ring with them. When he went to the Serie A and you win the team there as the talisman you’re up there.
“When he left United he left under a bit of cloud and he wasn’t in that conversation at the time but now he’s up there with them.
