Senate investigates NFF over failure of Super Eagles to qualify for World Cup
The Senate has commenced investigation into the disgraceful elimination of the Super Eagles of Nigeria by the Black Stars of Ghana from the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The Senators at plenary indicated that they are furious that the Nigerian national team failed to qualify for the world cup after the huge funds disbursed by the government and corporate bodies to provide the NFF all it needed to organize the competition.
The senate is also investigating the mob action by angry fans at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja, after the exit of Nigeria from the world cup to the advantage of Ghana.
The senate has, therefore, summoned the NFF, Minister of Youth and Sports, Sunday Dare, including managers of the stadium to provide information on the extent of damage to the M.K.L. Abiola Stadium.
