Presidency 2023: Fayose, Obi meet in Lagos, insist on zoning to south
Two presidential aspirants for the 2023 general elections on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), former Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State, and former Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State, at the weekend met in Lagos. They met at the residence of Fayose.
At the meeting, the two aspirants insisted on the rotation of the PDP 2023 presidential ticket to the south.
The two aspirants are among other presidential aspirants jostling for the PDP ticket. Others include Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Sam Ohabunwa, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, etc.
Former Governor Fayose in a tweet on his official handle @GovAyoFayose wrote: “I met with my fellow PDP Presidential Aspirant, Peter Obi, in my Lagos residence this evening. “We both canvassed rotation of the Presidency to the South.”
