Tragic accident claims four lives in Abuja
A devastating accident occurred on the Dutse-Bwari expressway in the Bwari area council of the FCT, claiming the lives of at least four individuals in a trailer accident.
The accident, which took place on Saturday, occurred when a trailer transporting sharp sand experienced a brake failure at Dutse-Baupma. The trailer collided with a black Toyota Highlander Jeep, a black Hilux pickup van belonging to the Nigeria Police Force, and a commercial tricycle.
According to an eyewitness named Abdul Mohammed, the trailer carrying sand failed to brake at the Usman Dam junction along the Dutse-Bwari expressway, leading to a catastrophic crash involving the vehicles, resulting in the loss of lives of almost all the occupants.

“While I was preparing to cross the main road in my car, I witnessed the high-speed trailer driving past us and crashing into the vehicles,” Mohammed explained.
Fortunately, bystanders at the Tipper garage junction were alert and swiftly noticed that the trailer had failed to brake. They quickly took measures to ensure their safety by seeking shelter.
Mohammed stated, “Those present at the Tipper garage junction were fortunate as they promptly realized that the trailer had lost control, prompting them to swiftly scatter and find a place of safety.”
