Ngelale goofed, Tinubu not first African President to ring NASDAQ bell
On Thursday, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President Bola Tinubu, , Ajuri Ngelale in a statement said his principal, Tinubu, became the first African President to ring the closing bell at the world’s second-largest stock exchange, the National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations (NASDAQ).
However, background checks by National Daily shows that this was not true because President Tinubu is not the first African President to ring the closing bell at NASDAQ.
