Atiku expected to announce retirement from active politics Monday
Former Vice President and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, Atiku Abubakar, will address the press on Monday, October 30.
The press briefing comes days after Atiku lost to President Bola Tinubu at the Supreme Court.
According to inside sources, after from addressing the Supreme Court Judgment and the state of the nation, he is also expected to announce his retirement from active politics and start playing the role of an elder statesman due to his age.

The apex court affirmed the election of the Nigerian leader after months of legal process, which started from the Appeal Court.
A statement from the office of the PDP national publicity secretary noted that the Atiku would address critical national concerns at the press briefing.
The event will take place at the opposition party’s national secretariat in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
