Sunday Igboho issues eviction orders to Fulani herders in Oyo community
Yoruba activist Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has issued a notice to Fulani herders in the Fiditi area of Oyo State directing them to vacate the region immediately.
In a recent broadcast, Sunday Igboho pleaded with Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State to take actions to secure the Ilora community before it is too late while noting that there are tensions in the region.
Sunday Igboho returned to Nigeria in February nearly three years after he fled the country following an attack on his residence in Ibadan on 1 July 2021 by officers of the Department of State Services.

Few days after his return, he was quoted telling his supporters and loyalists not to wait for the government’s intervention before taking steps to fight the ‘enemies’ who are denying local farmers from accessing their farmlands in the South-West region.
Expressing that he has heard the pleas of Ilora residents through his aide in the recent video, the self-determination campaigner revealed that he would visit the town in person soon.
‘This was how it started in Igangan in 2021 before I was later accused of creating a civil unrest. Governor Seyi Makinde must direct the Oyo State Commissioner of Police to act promptly and ensure the safety of Ilora residents.’
