Amotekun arrests 3 suspects for allegedly stealing vehicle parts
The Osun Amotekun Corps has arrested three persons in Ode-Omu, Ayedaade Local Government Areas of the state, for allegedly stealing vehicle parts.
A statement by the Spokesperson for the Corps, Yusuf Idowu, on Friday, said the suspects were arrested while trying to sell the stolen items to a scrap dealer.
“The suspects: Sodiq Oyedokun, 21; Ojoko Ayomiposi, 21; and Busari Ayomide 24, were arrested on Wednesday when they tried to sell the items to one Malam who deals in scrap metals in Ode-Omu.

“The scrap dealer, however, refused to buy the stolen items from them and alerted Amotekun operatives who sprung into action immediately and apprehended the suspects on the spot,” he said.
Idowu said during interrogation, the suspects confessed that they stole the items at a mechanic workshop in Akure, Ondo State and relocated to Ode-Omu to sell the items before they were apprehended.
He said the suspects had been transferred to the Ondo State Amotekun Command for further investigation and prosecution.
