Cristiano Ronaldo honored by UEFA for Champions League goal scoring record
Cristiano Ronaldo was celebrated by UEFA on Thursday evening with a special award recognizing his status as the all-time leading goal scorer in the Champions League.
UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin presented the award to Ronaldo, who expressed his gratitude, saying, “This award means a lot to me.
The Champions League is the pinnacle of football, and having played in it is special.
I have wonderful memories from the gala in Monaco.”
Although Ronaldo is now playing for Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia and no longer competes in the Champions League, he reminisced about his achievements in the competition.
“Our life is made of memories, and I have many great ones.

The first one is always the most special,” Ronaldo noted, recalling his memorable moments with Manchester United, including scoring in a final and missing a penalty.
A six-time Ballon d’Or winner, Ronaldo has recently been linked with a return to the Portuguese league, though he has dismissed these rumors.
Ronaldo began his career at Manchester United at 18 after signing from Sporting Lisbon.
