India reopens 32 Airports after ceasefire with Pakistan

Indian authorities announced on Monday the reopening of 32 airports that had been closed to civilian flight operations due to airspace restrictions following heightened tensions with neighboring Pakistan.

This decision comes after a ceasefire agreement was reached between the two countries on Saturday.

“In a statement, the state-owned Airports Authority of India said the 32 airports that were closed for civilian aircraft operations till 0529 hours local time of May 15 are now available for operations with immediate effect.”

The Airports Authority of India stated that the 32 airports, which had been closed until 05:29 local time on May 15th, are now available for civilian flight operations with immediate effect.

The closure of these airports, located across northern and western India, was implemented after a military conflict erupted between India and Pakistan a week prior.
