A long-running paternity dispute involving Afrobeats superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, and a 12-year-old girl, Anuoluwapo Mitchelle, has escalated following the circulation of a leaked online chat in which the singer allegedly threatened legal action against the child’s mother, Ms. Ayo Labinjoh.

The disputed conversation, which surfaced on Anuoluwapo’s Instagram page—said to be co-managed by her mother—shows what appears to be a tense exchange between the music star and the minor, in which Davido reportedly denied being her biological father and warned against what he described as continued harassment.

Although Davido has not publicly confirmed the authenticity of the leaked messages, screenshots of the exchange have spread rapidly across social media platforms, reigniting public debate over the years-long controversy.

In the alleged chat, the singer is quoted as warning the child to desist from making further claims, threatening that her mother could be arrested if the matter persisted.

“Stop this nonsense. Keep playing, and I will arrest your mother… I’m not your father,” the message attributed to Davido read.

When Anuoluwapo reportedly clarified that her mother was not directly involved in her personal outreach, the singer was said to have reiterated his denial, insisting that multiple DNA tests had already disproved the paternity claim.

“I am not your father. Go and find your father… I’ve done five DNA tests. You’re not mine,” he allegedly stated, adding that the tests were conducted at different times and in different medical facilities.

According to the leaked exchange, Davido further claimed that both parties had jointly selected some of the hospitals where the DNA tests were conducted, all of which reportedly returned negative results.

When the girl requested access to the test results and the names of the hospitals involved, he allegedly said the information would be made public.

The singer also expressed frustration over what he described as years of pressure and harassment, noting that the ongoing dispute was unfair to his family.

“You guys have been harassing me for years, and it has to stop. It’s not fair on my actual kids,” he was quoted as saying.

In the same exchange, Davido reportedly warned that he would take legal action and make the DNA test results public through both online platforms and newspapers.

“I will publish them online and in the newspaper. Then I will take your mom to court… She will go to jail,” the message allegedly read.

The Adeleke family has previously denied Anuoluwapo’s paternity claim, citing DNA evidence, while the child’s mother has maintained that her daughter is Davido’s biological child.

As of the time of filing this report, neither Davido nor his legal representatives have issued an official statement addressing the leaked chat or confirming whether legal action has been initiated.

The development has, however, intensified public scrutiny of the dispute, raising fresh legal and ethical questions around privacy, online conduct, and the welfare of a minor at the centre of a highly publicised controversy.
