President of the United States, Donald Trump, has issued a stern warning that Iran will face severe military action, as tensions in the Middle East continue to escalate into a broader regional conflict.

Trump made the declaration on Saturday through a post on Truth Social, stating that additional Iranian targets were being considered for possible strikes amid ongoing hostilities involving Tehran, the United States, and its allies.

“Today Iran will be hit very hard,” Trump wrote, adding that locations and groups that had previously not been considered military targets were now under review for possible destruction due to what he described as Iran’s “bad behaviour.”

The warning comes as the widening Middle East conflict enters its second week, following a series of military confrontations involving the United States and Israel against Iranian-linked targets.

The crisis has seen coordinated strikes on Iranian facilities as well as retaliatory missile and drone attacks across the region. Several Gulf states and Israel have reported interceptions and explosions as projectiles crossed regional airspace.

Security reports indicate that some of the attacks triggered blasts near key infrastructure, including areas close to airports, energy facilities and military installations.

Meanwhile, President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, has rejected calls for Tehran to surrender amid the intensifying airstrikes.

In a televised national address, Pezeshkian insisted that Iran would not bow to external pressure and described demands for “unconditional surrender” as unrealistic.

The Iranian leader maintained that the country would defend itself if attacked and vowed that Tehran would respond to further military actions against it.

Trump also claimed that Iran had apologised to neighbouring Middle Eastern countries following attacks across the region, arguing that the alleged apology reflected the impact of sustained military pressure from the United States and Israel.

According to him, the developments signalled a major shift in the balance of power in the region.

He stated that Iran was no longer the “bully of the Middle East,” asserting that continued military operations had weakened Tehran’s ability to exert dominance in the region.

The latest rhetoric and military activity have heightened concerns about the possibility of a broader regional war.

Heavy bombardments have been reported in parts of Iran and Lebanon, while retaliatory strikes targeting U.S. and allied positions have continued across several locations in the Middle East.

Despite calls from the international community urging restraint and diplomatic engagement, both sides have indicated that further military actions remain possible, raising fears about the stability and security of the wider Middle East region.
