Aisha Buhari pays condolence visit to wife of late Chief of Army Staff, family
The wife of the Nigerian President, Aisha Buhari, on Sunday paid a condolence visit to the wife and family of the Late Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant-General Ibrahim Attahiru, at their residence in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). She decried that the sudden death of the COAS and other military officers was a monumental loss to the country.
The wife of President Muhammadu Buhari in a tweet, stated: “The death of the late Chief of Army Staff and the other military officers aboard the ill-fated aircraft is a monumental loss to their families and the Nation at large.”
Lt. General Ibrahim Attahiru, Chief of Army Staff, had died in a plane crash in Kaduna on Friday. He died with other military personnel. They were all buried in Abuja on Saturday.
The cause of the plane crash is being investigated by the Nigerian military; while experts have been engaged for analysis of the accident.
