Aisha threatens Buhari will send Hyenas, Jackals out of government
By BOLUWATIFE EZEKIEL OLALEYE
First Lady Aisha Buhari, on Monday, raised a social media storm when she threatened that hyenas and jackals taking advantage of her husband’s illness would sooner than later be sent out of the kingdom.
Mrs. Buhari’s assertion on her Facebook page was in response to a solidarity message from Senator Shehu Sani, who had in a message posted on her Facebook page on July 6 alleged that in the president’s absence that sycophantic prayers for the lion’s recovery had waned.
The posting on Facebook was confirmed as her posting by her close aides Monday night. Mrs. Buhari’s depiction apparently a dig at the cabal and those she had claimed in the past were derailing President Buhari’s administration was laced in metaphor just as the original posting by Senator Sani.
Aisha Buhari, addressing State House Correspondents shortly after her arrival in Abuja on Tuesday (6/6/17) from United Kingdom where she went to visit her husband, who is on medical leave in the British capital, had conveyed the appreciation of President Muhammadu Buhari to Nigerians over their constant prayers and said he would soon return to the country.

Senator Sani had in his posting observed that the jackals and hyenas were in the absence of the lion who is sleeping tramping on the weaker animals in the belief that the lion would not come back. He said that it was the prayer of the weaker animals that the lion should come back soon.
Mrs. Buhari who is in Britain to visit her husband responded metaphorically to the posting saying: “God has answered the prayers of the weaker animals. The hyenas and the jackals will soon be sent out of the kingdom. We strongly believe in the prayers and support of the weaker animals.” Her comment had after seven hours attracted more than 1,000 likes and more than 200 comments.
Last October, Mrs. Buhari had raised a global alarm when she said that she might not campaign for her husband’s second term on the claim that those who canvassed for his victory had been displaced by strangers foisted on him, many of who do not share her husband’s patriotism.
