APC declared winner of bye-elections in Ondo, Imo, Cross River
The All Progressives Congress (APC) was declared winner of the bye-elections in Ondo, cross River and Imo states conducted last Saturday by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
INEC declared Mayokun Alade of the APC winner of the election in Akure North/South Federal Constituency in Ondo State. According to INEC collation officer, Professor Rufus Ogunseemi of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Alade had 26,370 votes to emerge winner, while Olumuyiwa Adu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had 24,201 votes to place second.
INEC also declared Blyden Amajurionwu of the APC winner of the Ngor-Okpala State Constituency bye-election in Imo State.
The commission said Amajurionwu had 9,248 votes; while the candidate of the PDP had 7,161 votes.
In Cross River State, INEC declared Jude Ngaji of the APC winner of the Ogoja/ Yala Federal Constituency. Ngaji was allocated 22,778 votes to emerge winner, while the PDP candidate was allocated 20,590 votes.
The PDP candidate was announced winner of the bye-election in Plateau State.
