Arsenal end Napoli Osimhen interest after swap deal claims
Arsenal’s pursuit of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen appears to be over as the Gunners balk at his hefty price tag, according to Sky Italia.
Osimhen, a prolific scorer during his time in Serie A, was expected to leave Napoli this summer.
While Arsenal expressed interest, the €130 million (£110.6 million) price tag proved a major stumbling block, especially considering their recent record-breaking transfer for Declan Rice.
Reports suggested a player swap deal involving Emile Smith Rowe and Takehiro Tomiyasu could have been an option.
However, Arsenal ultimately decided the overall cost, including wages, wasn’t justifiable.

This leaves PSG as the frontrunners for Osimhen’s signature.
The departure of Kylian Mbappe frees up significant funds for the French giants, making them more likely to meet Napoli’s demands.
Additionally, Osimhen reportedly isn’t interested in a move to Saudi Arabia, further narrowing his options.
With the arrival of Antonio Conte at Napoli, who is keen on a reunion with Romelu Lukaku, Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis may be pressured to accept a lower fee for Osimhen.
