Atiku didn’t mean well for Nigeria, says Tinubu
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has described the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as a selfish person that never meant well for the country Nigeria.
Speaking at a rally organised for him and his running mate Kashim Shettima by Lagos State chapter of the APC, Tinubu said Alhaji Abubakar was part of the PDP misrule of Nigeria for 16 years, and wondered why the party could not fix most of the challenges facing the country when in power.
He urged the electorates to retire Atiku with their votes in 2023 general elections, because he has been vying for presidential position since 1999 and by now, he ought to have retired.
Tinubu who was accompanied to the campaign ground by the national chairman of his party, Senator Abdullai Adamu, the Director General of his presidential campaign Simon Lalong and the chairman of the progressive governors Abubakar Bagudu, who is the governor of Kebbi state, led the 22 APC governors of APC to the venue of the rally.

Addressing his audience in Yoruba Language, he said, ije ti e je tete, e o le je daguro, daguro o se je, (The way you eat a particular vegetable leaf, you can’t eat dagburo, dagburo can’t be eaten.)
He however, said if he emerged the president of Nigeria all the APC governors will have input into his administration and that none of them would be rejected.
Speaking the Director General of Tinubu/Shettima presidential campaign Lalong thanked Nigerians for giving his party the best candidate and the most suitable candidate for the position of president of Nigeria.
According to him, “he has the capability to run Nigeria on the basis of equity and justice. I appealed to people of Lagos State don’t be deceived by any candidate who made empty promises, vote for candidates based on what they have done.
Bagudu who spoke on behalf of the governors urged the electorates to put their hope in Tinubu.
Bagudu who claimed to have spent his youthful years in Surulere said since Tinubu came on board he has made Surulere a better place, just as he commended him for his sense of nationality input in his cabinet.
In the message, the Speaker of the House of Representatives Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, said the event held in Lagos was not the real campaign, just an attempt to energize the people of Lagos State.
