Bigi showstopper night ignites Nigerian idol five battle for finale
Nigerian Idol Season 10 reached a fever pitch on Sunday, June 23, as the much-anticipated Showstopper Edition delivered an electrifying night of music, emotion, and intense competition.
Sponsored by Bigi, the beloved soft drink brand known for energizing bold moments, the live show featured the top five contestants giving their all in a bid to secure a spot in the grand finale.
Broadcast live on Africa Magic, the Showstopper stage lived up to its name, treating viewers to a spectacle of outstanding performances, vocal prowess, and stage presence.
With only weeks left until the winner is crowned, the atmosphere was charged with excitement and determination.
Kicking off the night was award-winning Nigerian artiste Ric Hassani, who brought star power to the stage with a thrilling performance of Isokuso from his Lagos Loverboy album, setting the tone for the evening.

Miki stirred the crowd with a passionate performance of Beyoncé’s Spirit, delivering powerful vocals and emotional depth.

Raymu kept the energy high with a captivating rendition of David Guetta’s Titanium, blending intensity and vocal control.
Lawrence, who has consistently impressed the judges, returned to the spotlight with another memorable performance—this time channeling the King of Pop in Black or White by Michael Jackson.
Purp, the only female contestant remaining, brought the house down with Aretha Franklin’s Respect, earning a standing ovation. Judge Omawumi, visibly moved, praised her with the words: “What a man can do, a woman can do better!”
Brammy closed the night with a showstopping performance of Chris Brown’s Yeah!, igniting the stage with his infectious energy and crowd appeal.
As the competition edges closer to its climax, the performances have grown more intense and inspiring. Sunday night was a reminder of the power of music and the dreams it fuels.
