BREAKING: Cristiano Ronaldo to Manchester City becoming a reality with this latest development
The news of Ronaldo switching his football allegiance to Manchester City started as a rumour.
However, it is gradually becoming a reality as report reaching National Daily reveals that the five-time Ballon d’Or Award winner has taken a major step in actualizing his transfer to the Etihad.
It has been reported that the 36-year-old Portuguese has agreed personal terms with the Premier League champions.
National Daily gathered from the report by The Independent, that the former Manchester United talisman has already spoken with Pep Guardiola and will earn upwards of £250,000-a-week, should City agree a fee with the Serie A giants.
Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, was believed to have flown to Turin on Thursday to hold crisis talks with Juventus chiefs over the future of his most high-profile and lucrative client.
Though Juventus have previously and publicly maintained that they are against selling their prize-asset but The Independent claims that they are now desperate to get the former Real Madrid superstar off their wage bill
Meanwhile, there was a report that Mendes has also sounded out Paris Saint-Germain about the potential uniting of Ronaldo with his long-time rival Lionel Messi, but it is believed that City have emerged as the clear favourites to land the Portugal captain.
Ronaldo who enjoyed six remarkable years with City’s rivals, Manchester United is however said to be intent on joining a club that offers him the chance of competing for football’s biggest prizes, both team and individual, as he enters the final stage of his record-breaking career.
It could definitely be a hard one for United fans to see one of their favorite legends playing for their ‘noisy neighbours’, but they will learn to deal with it.
