Chaos erupts at PDP Headquarters as fight breaks out over National Secretary Position
A violent altercation broke out on Wednesday at the headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), during a meeting of the party’s Board of Trustees (BoT).
The confrontation stemmed from a heated dispute between two prominent party figures, Samuel Anyanwu and Sunday Ude-Okoye, who were vying for the position of National Secretary.
The altercation unfolded when Sunday Ude-Okoye, a well-known party chieftain, was forcefully ejected from the meeting by suspected thugs.
Ude-Okoye had arrived at the venue of the meeting before Anyanwu and the acting National Chairman, Ambassador Iliya Damagum. However, upon Anyanwu’s arrival, Ude-Okoye was reportedly pushed out of the gathering, sparking a confrontation.
