Coalition of Pastors decry killings by bandits in Kaduna
A coalition of pastors under the aegis of Interfaith Alliance took to the streets of Kaduna in peaceful protest of the perennial killings and invasion of communities by bandits in Kaduna State.
The religious leaders displayed placards with different inscriptions to convey their messages to the federal government.
The pastors acknowledged that security forces have been doing their best in the fight against banditry and terrorism, noting that more firm actions are needed to contain the violence across the country. They tasked the federal government to implement the suggestions of Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State to carry out massive offensive bombing of the bandit’s hideouts in the forests.
They urged the federal government to compensate those who suffered casualties and damages in the bandits’ attacks, including awarding scholarships to children of deceased parents, as well as rebuild damaged communities.
