Council boss expands roads, streets construction in Ifako/Ijaye LCDA
The Executive Chairman of Ifako/Ijaye Local Council Development Authority (LCDA), Prince Usman Akambi Hamzat, has continued to expand the repairs, rehabilitation and construction of feeder roads, streets to various parts of the local council. Many of the infrastructure projects are delivered with speed and within time frame.
The terribly bad road at Moyo Agoro down to Haruna cut out, at Ogba, has been completely rehabilitated and converted to a smooth alternative route to the major road from Yaya Abatan junction to Haruna. The road from Haruna to the bridge entry point to Obawole was extensively repaired in December, all potholes filled; there were also repairs of major streets like Awobona, Yisu, and Alhaji Mustapha streets in Iju Ishaga.
Construction works are ongoing at Ndike and Akinte streets in Obawole, giving the environment entirely new look. The sandy road from Obawole to Omonile along Power line is currently under construction. The road is expected to serve as alternative route when the construction of Fagba bridge by the Lagos State government begins.
Ifako/Ijaye LCDA had also carried out rehabilitation works at Araromi and Jagunmolu streets, down to Galilee junction in Iju Ishaga.
Meanwhile, a major street at Obawole, Asabi Taiwo Street is still awaiting the intervention of the council authorities for rehabilitation. The street provides alternative route for motorists who avoid the steep hill into Obawole after the bridge,
