Deborah: Reactions as Reno Omokri reveals why he is not in any WhatsApp group
The gruesome killing of a female student of Shehu Shagari College of Education Sokoto State, Deborah, has generated different reactions from people.
Recently, the popular human rights activist, former aide to President Jonathan, lawyer, and renowned book author, Reno Omokri, has just taken to his verified Twitter page to advise his followers on some measures they should adopt concerning any forum or any group that one belongs to.
He said “Going forward, once you note that religion has infiltrated WhatsApp fora that is not church or mosque based, quietly exit the fora. That is why I am not even on any WhatsApp fora. They can provoke you into unnecessary controversies and alter your positive energy!”
It is not a rumor that the trend today is that for one to have access to any information or updates, there is a need to belong to a group or any other platform as such, the creation of WhatsApp groups and other social media groups has been the order of the day.
While giving out his advice, Reno Omokri said if a group or forum that is not religiously related started to have discussion and content that is related to religious activities, he said it is better to exit such platform. Reno Omokri further reveals that he did not belong to any WhatsApp group because of arguments that can lead to unnecessary misunderstanding.
