France drops COVID-19 test for vaccinated travelers
France on Tuesday indicated readiness to scrap its policy on COVID-19 test for vaccinated travelers entering the country. Europe Minister Clement Beaune stated on Tuesday that France will soon drop the imposition of a negative Covid test for vaccinated travelers entering the country from outside the European Union. The minister acknowledged that daily infection figures have continued to decline.
According to Europe Minister Clement Beaune, “We again required tests in December over the Omicron variant. In the coming days we will announce that tests are no longer needed for vaccinated people.”
He added: “This week there will probably be a new European protocol for vaccinated people arriving from outside the EU, with eased measures.”
National Daily gathered that EU members agreed on January 25 to better coordinate their travel rules, particularly, for people crossing borders within the European continent.
France commenced lifting of COVID restrictions in February, reopening nightclubs from February 16, including authorizing concerts, sporting events and bars.
Several European countries including Denmark, Switzerland, began scrapping of covid restrictions last week. Most European countries also profiled covid as flu which they said is not as deadly as being propagated by its promoters, including the vaccines merchants.
