Fresh attack in Benue leaves 22 dead
At least 22 persons have reportedly been killed by suspected herdsmen in Benue.
The attackers were said to have struck a community in Guma around 6am on Wednesday.
Dickson Taki, a member of the House of Representatives from Benue state, disclosed this while speaking on the floor of the house.
He said many were injured in the attack which happened barely 24 hours after 19 persons were killed in the state.
The victims had gone to morning mass at St Ignatius Quasi Parish when their attackers who had laid ambush on the community attacked them around 5.30 am and killed them.
The herdsmen extended their terror to other villagers burnt their houses numbering about 100.
