LASEMA rescues four victims from accident on Third mainland bridge
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has rescued four victims following a road accident on Monday evening.
The agency’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, confirmed the rescue in a statement issued on Tuesday in Lagos.
The accident, which involved two buses, occurred on the Third Mainland Bridge, heading inward Oworo-Shoki, in the late hours of Monday.
According to Oke-Osanyintolu, LASEMA received distress calls at 17:25 hours through the 767 and 112 toll-free emergency lines, prompting the activation of the emergency response team from the Command and Control Centre in Alausa, Ikeja.
Upon arrival at the scene at 17:35 hours, the team found that a white Toyota coaster bus (Registration Number KJA-380-XV) had collided with a stationary Lagos State BRT (Registration Number AGL938-YD).

The Toyota Coaster bus was towed to Iyana-Oworo and handed over to the police as the recovery operation was concluded.
