The resurgence of Yoruba nation agitation was met with police confrontation on Monday, leading to the death of a man, during a clash between the Yoruba nation agitators and the police in Ojota, Lagos State.
The lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, acknowledging the clash and death of the man, disclosed that personnel of the Command had been drafted to the scene to restore law and order.

The pandemonium in the early hours of Monday compelled commuters to run for their lives before the police intervened.
Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command from Rapid Response Squad, State Taskforce and conventional divisional officers, were drafted to the scene, where on arrival, they fired teargas to disperse the crowd, which led to violent reaction by the agitators.
The agitators were said to have burnt a police van in the clash.
