Dr. David Oyedepo, Chancellor of Covenant University in Ota, Ogun, has proudly stated that over 90 percent of the institution’s graduates are employable.

According to Oyedepo, Covenant University has consistently topped the list of Nigerian universities with the highest employability rate, a testament to its commitment to providing world-class education.
He explained that the university’s leadership development programs play a critical role in preparing graduates for the workforce.
These programs are designed to equip students with not only technical knowledge but also leadership skills and practical competencies that set them apart in the competitive job market.
“Our graduates are equipped with the ability to solve real-world challenges, both locally and globally. They are prepared to contribute meaningfully to society through innovative thinking and problem-solving,” he said.

Oyedepo also urged other higher institutions in Nigeria to focus on producing more locally-driven solutions through research and development, rather than relying on foreign technologies and ideas.
Oyedepo emphasized that Nigerian universities should intensify efforts to engage in research that addresses the specific needs and challenges of the nation, thereby fostering homegrown solutions that can drive sustainable growth and development.
With this focus on leadership and innovation, Covenant University aims to continue producing graduates who are not only employable but also capable of leading in various sectors to support national progress.
