Oyo lawmaker urges youths to be creative and productive

The lawmaker representing Iwajowa constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Okunola Silas Adeleke has called on the people of Oyo State to support and co-operate with the present administration in the state.
Speaking with National Daily in Ibadan the State Capital, Hon. Okunola said that the APC led government in the state is trying it’s best to rescue the state from the economic and financial havoc that has eluded the state.
The lawmaker maintained that the 8th Assembly member is not a rubberstamp of the governor at all. He further stated that the Assembly is collaborating with the executive in moving the state forward.
Hon. Okunola solicited support for the government of Oyo State saying that the economic situation of the country is really affecting the state. He also disclosed that Oyo State is not financially buoyant at all. Even we the legislators know what’s happening in the state. With what is happening now government needs to invest in Agriculture. Also this will serve as a lesson to all of us that we should not depend on oil alone.
According to the lawmaker the high rate of unemployment in the country is affecting the youths. In his words “I want to advise our youths to be creative and productive. I know that very soon the issue of unemployment will be reduced”.
He also assured the people of his constituency of a good representation promising that he will facilitate more state projects to the constituency.
