Plateau Rep member Lar, fights poverty with motorcycles, wheelchairs

A House of Representative Member, (PDP), Plateau State, Hon. Beni Lar, has empowered her constituent with Motorcycles, Granding Machines, Wrappers and Wheelchairs, aimed at fighting poverty among his people of Langtang North and South federal constituency.
The empowerment items worth millions of naira was also targeted to meet the challenges of the physically challenged.
The gesture took place at the weekend, shortly after a thanksgiving service to mark her birthday at the COCIN LCC Kuffen RCC headquarters in Langtang North.
Speaking at the event, the forth time federal lawmaker said she has every reason to show appreciation to her constituency because she will not be where she is without their support over the years.
“I will not be where I am today without the support of the great people of my constituency. They have been very supportive to my aspirations, that is why I am given back interms of empowering them with Motorcycles, Granding Machines and Wheel chairs to alleviate their suffering”.
Advising her supporters to eschew politics of bitterness and rancour, she said: “As you can see today people came from different political parties to celebrate me.
“Lets celebrate each other and Nigeria’s diversity. Politics is a game, whoever win is a Nigerian and should be supported by those that lost. My brand of politics is politics without bitterness and rancour”, She said.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the occasion and senator representing Plateau north constituency Barr. ID Gyang said he is happy to identify with Lar in view of her excellent performance, adding that the amazon is a parliamentarian per excellent.
“She is making Plateau and Nigeria proud with her track records of excellent performance at the national assembly. If she continue this way, she will became the leader of the house of representatives one day.” Gyang said.
Similarly the Chairman of Langtang North LGA, Dr. Ubandoma Joshua Laven in his opening remarks said Lar has shown that she is truly committed to the yearnings and aspirations of the people of her constituency by consistently empowering them to be self sufficient over the years.
