Police Corporal allegedly commits suicide in his car at Ikeja

The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the death of a policeman who was found dead in his Volkswagen Passat car , Registration number withheld parked at the entrance gate of high way barracks Ikeja.
The Non Commissioned Officer (NCO) with service number: F/No. 386982, CPL Agi Elias was found dead today, 10th November 2015 by 7:30am.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the Corporal might have committed suicide as “tablets and some poisonous substances littered around his corpse inside his car.”
Until his sudden death, the late Corporal was attached Safer high way patrol Lagos. It was gathered that he was presently undergoing Corporal to Sergeant promotion course in Police Training School (PTS) Ikeja, a course he completed yesterday, 9th November, 2015.
The Lagos State Police spokesperson, DSP Joe Offor said preliminary investigations so far carried out revealed that “tablets and some poisonous substances littered around his corpse while still inside his car.
“His body has been recovered and deposited at Lagos state University Teaching Hospital mortuary, while the investigation of the case has been taking over by the Homicide section of SCID Yaba with a view to ascertaining the cause of death.
