Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, a frontline presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general elections, has submitted his Nomination and Expression of Interest forms at the PDP National Secretariat, Abuja. The former Vice President promised he will irrevocably commit himself to the enthronement of “One People with One Future and One Country” as a deliberate policy to fixing the broken nation and the collapsing economy for the greater good of Nigerians.

A statement from the Media Office of Atiku in Abuja indicated that the forms were submitted on behalf of the former Vice President by Chairman of TEECOM and member of the PDP BOT, High Chief Raymond Dokpesi, noting that the submission was a confirmation of Atiku’s  preparedness to get to work to unify the country, rebuild the economy and return the PDP to its enviable heights.

it was noted that before the submission of the forms to the National Organising Secretary of the PDP, Umar Bature, Atiku had earlier in the day, in the spirit of brotherhood and common understanding, notified other contenders in the race of his intention to submit his forms in line with the on-going conversations about having a consensus candidate for the party.
The North East Business Community had obtained and delivered the forms to the former Vice President barely 24 hours after the PDP opened the window for the purchase of forms to aspirants in the party. On the 23rd of March, Atiku formally declared his intent to run for president in the 2023 election on the platform of the PDP.

Meanwhile, other PDP presidential aspirants include former President of the Senate Bukola Saraki, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Sam Ohabunwa, former Governor Ayo Fatose of Ekiti State, former President of the Senate Anyim Pius Anyim, etc.
