Presidency 2023: Wike too big for running mate, should negotiate 2027 presidential ticket – Reno Omokri
A renowned social commentator, Reno Omokri, has expressed that Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State is too big to be running mate to the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, in the 2023 general elections. He was of the view Governor Wike should be the next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria at the end of the tenure of Atiku. Invariably, Governor Wike should rather be negotiating for the 2027 presidential ticket of the PDP.
Omokri, speaking on Arise Television – The Morning Show , dismissed speculations that Wike may dump the PDP after failing to secure the vice presidential ticket of the party, having lost the presidential ticket to Atiku. Reno maintainer that there is no crisis in the PDP, saying that Governor Wike has no plan to dump the main opposition party.
Reno Omokri declared: “Governor Wike has told us in private and in also public that he’s never going to leave the party.
“Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has called Governor Nyesom Wike our Jagaban and it is true because the man has almost a larger-than-life image
“Governor Wike is even too big to become Vice president. I see him as somebody who would be President after Atiku Abubakar.
“This is man who has Charisma, who has the carriage and would unify Nigeria. And as such a person, he understands the larger issues.”
