Equatorial Guinea adopted Spanish as its major language in the year 1844 and since then, most of the people in the Country has chosen the language as their Official language. About 68 percentage of the population in Equatorial Guinea speaks Spanish but the people who are used to the language are the people who reside in Molabo.
Although Equatorial Guinea speaks Spanish as their Official language, their dialects is slightly different from the dialects that Spanish speaks and their Spanish language is known as Equatoguinean Spanish.
It was reported that Equatorial Guinea speaks Spanish because the Country was colonized by Spain before they gained Independence in the year 1968.
