See what a Nigerian abroad did to hospital patients, orphans in Plateau

A Nigerian abroad worried by the poor living condition of Nigerians, owing to the current economic crisis, decided to reach out to hospital patients, orphans and the less privileged living in Plateau State, with the aim to ameliorate their sufferings.

The Nigerian, a philanthropist and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Oil Money Entertainment, Mr. Tony Okpokparoro said haven gone through hardship, it breaks his heart to see his country men and women walk through the same road.

The entertainer who spoke through his representatives during delivery of items meant for the less privilege on Thursday in Jos, said the gesture is one of many giveaways he planned to accomplish before the end of 2022.

The donated items ranging from foodstuffs, relief materials and hospital bills, were given to select orphanage homes and hospitals within the city of Jos.

The effort from the philanthropic giant will help in supporting the feeding of the children at the orphanage ranging from just a few days old up to 14 years of age, our correspondent reports.

Items donated by Oil Money include food, beverages, toiletries, paying of hospital bills and undisclosed amount of cash to the beneficiaries.

Most of the items donated to the homes and hospitals, according to Oil Money were largely raised through the company’s effort.

At the hospital, Oil Money touched the lives of over 50 patients, our correspondent gathered.

“At Oil Money we care about the health and well-being of Nigerians, with additional care and attention for the vulnerable. We will make this a regular initiative and will continue to support them in our own way.

“I am delighted to see these beautiful children happy. I hope our gesture gives them some inspiration for the future. Every child is important and it’s our duty to help those that need that little extra support”.

”Our giveaway initiative cuts across all communities and sectors, having pioneered sponsorships in entertainment, and youth empowerment, I think it won’t be out of place to call on the well-meaning citizens of Nigeria to continue to support these worthy causes”, Okpokparoro said.

Also, talking about sponsorship in entertainment, the new artist recently signed by Oil Money, Mint, is set to release her debut album with J-wiz.

Our correspondent reports that the lives of men and women in communities dominated by Christians and Muslims were touched, with everyone happy to see such kindness in a time considered to be the toughest in the history of Nigeria.
