Senator Jibrin sponsors students for advanced studies abroad
Senator Barau Jibrin of Kano North is sponsoring hundreds of students to study AI-Robotics, Cybersecurity, and Forensic Science at international institutions.
Senator Barau Jibrin of Kano North and Deputy President of the Senate has launched an ambitious initiative to sponsor hundreds of students for advanced studies in fields such as AI-Robotics Technology, Cybersecurity, and Forensic Science at international institutions.
The announcement was made by the Senator’s Special Adviser on Media Affairs, Ismaila Mudasir, on Thursday in Kano.
The sponsorship program is spearheaded by the Barau I Jibrin Foundation (BIJF) and aims to support educational development for underprivileged students from Kano.
According to the statement, the foundation has secured admissions for deserving students from all three senatorial districts in Kano to pursue postgraduate studies abroad.
Senator Jibrin emphasized that the initiative is open to all students from Kano, irrespective of their political affiliations. ”

Through my foundation, we are committed to promoting academic excellence and contributing to Nigeria’s technological advancement,” he said.
“This program is designed to address the shortage of experts in crucial fields.”
The first batch of 70 students has already been admitted and is expected to receive their admission letters this September.
The program reflects Senator Jibrin’s dedication to enhancing educational opportunities and fostering Nigeria’s progress in advanced technology sectors.
